We offer training and workshops to those in the health and social sector

Accessible, easy to understand and informative training that goes beyond the basics. Helping health workers use creativity, problem solving, and evidence base practice in their client care to go above and beyond.

Developed by Occupational Therapists and using real life experiences, this bundle provides the tools and building blocks to provide innovative and quality patient care, rehabilitation, and personalised support. .

OccuBeing brings the principles of Occupational Therapy into the everyday practice of health and social care.

We believe you do not need to be a qualified Occupational Therapist to have the following.

  • An understanding values and motivations
  • An understanding of individual identity, and the components of what makes a person.
  • An understanding of the importance  activities of daily living have on our idenity.
  • Recognising how disability, illness and trauma can interfere with a person’s identity.
  • How to set meaningful goals
  • How to be recovery focused

The training is delivered over 4 hours and comes with a reflective journal.

Why Occupational Therapy based?

Occupational Therapy is associated with improved patient and service user outcomes. Occupational therapists are holistic healthcare professionals, they promote recovery, facilitate independent living and work to break down the barriers to well-being through meaningful goals, creative interventions and developing quality therapeutic relationships.

Occupational Therapists support people in finding a new sense of purpose, expanding their opportunities, releasing their potential, and helping people work towards a brighter more fulfilling future.

The full depth of what Occupational Therapy can offer is complex, however, there are a few core principles which can be adopted by all to change the way we approach health and social care work in a way that is meaningful, goal orientated and recovery focused.
