Why Occupational Therapy based?
Occupational Therapy is associated with improved patient and service user outcomes. Occupational therapists are holistic healthcare professionals, they promote recovery, facilitate independent living and work to break down the barriers to well-being through meaningful goals, creative interventions and developing quality therapeutic relationships.
Occupational Therapists support people in finding a new sense of purpose, expanding their opportunities, releasing their potential, and helping people work towards a brighter more fulfilling future.
The full depth of what Occupational Therapy can offer is complex, however, there are a few core principles which can be adopted by all to change the way we approach health and social care work in a way that is meaningful, goal orientated and recovery focused.
