The Therapy contract is carried out by specialist mental health professionals, underpinned by a solution focused approach using a combination of coaching and Occupational Therapy principles to support those struggling with their mental health and well-being to either remain or return to work.
The therapy contract is for those who are struggling to perform their Occupational roles due to the impact of mental health, illness, trauma, or a decline in their well-being. It is suitable for those needing to explore options to support their mental health and recovery in order to remain in work and overcome a particularly challenging time, or for those returning from work following a mental health or well-being related absence.
Mental health related issues are responsible for a large proportion of staff absences, and a lot of people who have had to take time away from work due to poor mental health report that had they had adequate support in place that their absence could have been prevented. Mental health remains a misunderstood area, therefore OccuBeing feels it is important when supporting someone to remain or return to work who is experiencing mental health problems that it requires a specialist understanding, as well as a bespoke and recovery focused approach.
The Therapy contract is a short intensive programme, guided by our WHOP (Wellness, health Occupational Plan). We work with the employee to highlight their barriers to achieving well-being by using evidence based assessment and analytic tools. We collaboratively complete an action plan detailing bespoke therapeutic plans, solutions, and recovery techniques to enable them to improve their well-being in the workplace.
